How to Plan Your Business Right: Permits, Licenses and Resources

Join us for the in-person networking event for startups and small businesses on the requirements for business licenses or permits based on your business activities, location, and government rules.

Come on May 21st at 9 AM PST and learn more about local assistance available to you via SBA’s resource partner network. Our resource partners such as the Small Business Development Center, Women’s Business Center, SCORE, and Veteran’s Outreach Center will tell you how you can sign up for entrepreneurial training and counseling, their mentors and counselors, women-owned training, and resources for our veterans’ community.

Manjeet McCarthy, Senior Permit Specialist, Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) will deliver information on Permits, Licenses & Certifications for Startups. She supports businesses by providing state, federal, and local permitting assistance and mediation services working at the speed of business. Her enthusiasm is for the common goal of creating a more inventive, inclusive, and sustainable economic future for all. That stems from her struggles as an immigrant, a woman, and a minority. Nevertheless, she has used those difficulties as the cornerstone of her drive and strength to work harder. She has a master’s degree in English Literature from a Commonwealth University in Punjab India.
