The Dynamic Small Business Search & How to Write Your Capabilities Statement

Event Details

This webinar will cover two very importants aspects of government contracting: DSBS and Capability Statements.

Learn about Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS). This the the SBA ‘sister’ site to SAM.gov. This is where Contracting Officers (KO’s) go to find businesses like you. They can search by manay parameters and set asides (minority, women-owned, veteran, HUBZone, 8a+). Did you know if the purchase is under $10,0000 they can call and negotiate a price with you directly? If the procurement is under $25,000 they only need three bidders. But, when your information comes over from SAM.gov it is missing four key things: Capabiltity Narrative, Keywords, Past Performance, and your Capability Statement. You must register and sign in to enter these yourself. We’ll teach you all of this in the webinar.

Learn what a Capability Statement is and how to make one. The Federal Government buys over $600 billion goods and services per year, 23% of that spend is allocated for Small Business. This is a huge opportunity for firms, who qualify, to grow their business and become part of the world of Government Contracting. To capture the attention of procurement decision makers, you must first create a winning capability statement. This is the most important marketing piece you will create for your business. A properly formatted capability statement will help you get noticed and differentiate you from your competition.

In this presentation you will learn:

• Proper formatting of the statement
• Information to include and not include
• Differentiators, Core competencies and past performance content
• How to use the capability statement
