Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) Webinar

Event Details

The Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) is a Department of Defense (DoD) Laboratory located in Sacramento, CA, operating under the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment (ASD(A&S)). DMEA is the DoD’s leading authority on microelectronics and executes its mission to provide vital parts and services in innovative ways to meet the needs of the DoD and enable the Warfighter.

DMEA purchases research & development/technology; engineering and other technical consulting services; electronics and semiconductor-related device manufacturing; software, software maintenance and licenses; laboratory, scanner, test, and x-ray equipment; construction: lab and facilities upgrades; and facilities support services: landscape maintenance, janitorial, security, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, painting, etc.

DMEA participates in the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs which are highly competitive programs that encourage domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) with the potential for commercialization. Through a competitive awards-based program, SBIR and STTR enable small businesses to explore their technological potential and provide the incentive to profit from its commercialization. DMEA topics are prioritized with a preference to topics that lead to microelectronics manufacturing opportunities and solutions at DMEA, commercialization, and that grow the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).

Small businesses that provide the products and services that DMEA procures and are interested in learning more about its SBIR/STTR Program are encouraged to attend this one-hour workshop to learn more about DMEA and how to do business with them.
