During this free, hands-on session, we’ll walk you step-by-step through the application process for California Department of General Services Small Business (SB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) certifications, as well as vendor registration through Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s SEED program.

Participants will need to bring/have available electronic (either on a USB or on their laptop) copies of the following for the event to get certified::

• LAPTOP (IPADS AND CELLPHONES ARE USUALLY TOO SMALL FOR THE PROCESS).
• INTERNAL REVENUE LETTER ISSUING EMPLOYER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (EIN).
• FEDERAL (NOT STATE) TAX RETURNS FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS (OR FOR THE PERIOD YOUR BUSINESS HAS BEEN OPERATIONAL IF LESS THAN THREE)
• IF YOUR COMPANY IS A SOLE PROPRIETORSHIP, BRING PERSONAL FEDERAL TAX RETURNS FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS.
• CALIFORNIA EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT FORMS DE-9C RECORDS FOR THE FOUR MOST RECENT QUARTERS.
• LICENSES (IF APPLICABLE), SUCH AS BUSINESS LICENSE, CSLB LICENSE, RESELLERS PERMIT, ETC.
• LEGAL ENTITY DOCUMENTS:

  • FICTITIOUS BUSINESS NAME STATEMENT
