Navigating Tax Season with EDD & CDTFA

Basic Sales & Use Tax with California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA)

Attendees will gain an understanding of:

  • Sales and use tax
  • District tax
  • Taxable and nontaxable labor
  • Learn if you need a seller’s permit and how to use a resale certificate
  • Discover exemptions and deductions which may be available to you.
  • Determine how AB 147 and the Marketplace Facilitator Act affects your business.
  • Gain a solid foundation on what records should be kept, how long to keep them, and what details are most important.

State Basic Payroll Tax Seminar with the California Employment Development Department (EDD)

Attendees will learn:

  • How and when to report state payroll taxes
  • How to distinguish between an employee and an independent contractor
  • Ways to get assistance
