Uplifting the Care Economy

Licensed to Care is a training program to help entrepreneurs start or expand childcare and early education centers

Access to daycare, preschool, and early childhood education centers is crucial for working parents—and for the entrepreneurs that run these centers, training and business education is crucial for ensuring that they prosper. That’s why the Women’s Business Center offers no-cost assistance for business owners in the childcare industry.

Through one-on-one sessions with Danielle Marshall, our Childcare Business Consultant, and regular cohorts of Licensed to Care, entrepreneurs gain the industry knowledge and business foundations to thrive as the owner of a childcare enterprise. Licensed to Care is a three-phase training program during which participants write a business plan, undergo licensing and safety training, become CPR certified, and more. This cohort-based series is typically offered once per year. Join our newsletter to learn about upcoming sessions!
