Navigating the Publishing Maze, Self-Publishing 101

Navigating the Publishing Maze, Self-Publishing 101

Writing your book is the easy, fun part. Trying to publish it all by yourself the first time is a little like following an overgrown, potholed path through a jungle at night in the middle of a monsoon! This course takes you step-by-step through the process from beginning to end, explaining your options and choices and why they matter.

*This is a 5 hour workshop with a 1/2 hour lunch from 12:30 pm- 1:00 pm*

About the Presenter: Sharon Darrow has lived most of her life in Sacramento, with her husband Stan, their Great Dane and their cats. She’s a business owner, an expert in kitten rescue, an author and publisher, and a public speaker.

Her first four books are non-fiction. Bottlekatz, A Complete Care Guide for Orphan Kittens and Faces of Rescue; Cats, Kittens and Great Danes are about animal rescue. From Hindsight to Insight, a Traditional to Metaphysical Memoir is based on the premise that there are no accidents in life. Tom Flynn, Medium & Healer, is the story of a remarkable man who lives and works in London. Her first fiction title, She Survives, is book one of a series inspired by an amazing woman, her maternal grandmother. Her newest book, Navigating the Publishing Maze, Self-Publishing 101, is her way of giving back to the writing community by helping other authors.

Sharon has been a prolific reader since childhood, and viewed books as her portal to incredible worlds and knowledge. Her hope as an author is to entertain, teach, and inspire my readers as well.
