Communicating as a Leader

Communicating as a Leader

In this workshop you will learn to:

    • Identify brain-based responses to different communication styles
    • Use language to motivate others
    • Practice “other-focused” communication
    • Managing and inspiring teams
    • Recognize and manage their own nonverbal behavior as leaders
    • Developing a mission and vision

This is important because: Leaders have the opportunity to create company culture and to affect employee engagement through communication. Good leaders reflect on their own style as communicators, and study the effects of different communication styles, to ensure their own communication methods motivate rather than alienate employees. Research shows that other-focused communication, and using communication to create trust in place of fear, help increase employee engagement and productivity.
